Unrest, violence, political chaos, Musk, Trump & Bezos, this is the perfect anecdote. Not only does it allow one to quickly forget the stress and suffocation of daily life, the Demon Seed brings a pantheon of characters, jokes, flashbacks and dare I say it, normality. Granted, it’s not for everyone, however, like a salmon swimming up the Severn, it’s worth perseverance.

The Demon Seed

As a product of the 70s and 80s TDS takes me back to those days and rewards me as I was rewarded then - with half a picnic or perhaps a lolly with a pube on it. The men who make this have both touched me deeply, but that’s not relevant here.

Outstanding representation state of the uk government

If you are looking for a podcast represents the standard of the UK government in it present form look no further. The way it mirrors the consistently outdated programs and the elegance of Mikes lack of interest merging and will to create something long lasting and original really beggars belief. I love it!

Like how you shouldn’t like Vinegar but you do?

TW Barker from the sonic series. It’s what I imagine when John does “my boys my boys my wonderful boys” voice. It has ruined this simple television series my children watch most days. Like a beaten wife I don’t know why I keep coming back.. but I do. This is the podcast equivalent of being hit on the bottoms of your feet so no one can see the bruises.

The funniest two people I’ve ever listened to

I was a huge fan of ‘The Unexplainers’ podcast, and just stumbled upon the ‘Demon Seed’. Mike and John are absolutely hilarious, and I often find myself laughing til I cry. Though the humor is irreverent and crass (my favorite style), their banter and chemistry is amazing.

Oozes the genius of Weissmuller

Look. It’s absolute toilet. But we all have, use, and - dare I say - enjoy a toilet; so why not sit down and have a listen? I’ve cried laughing and as a 22 year old, have learnt all about the rich cultural heritage on offer from the years before my birth. ‘When will the local council do something about alien abduction?’ has to be the best episode title of any podcast. You can tell they have all huffed deeply on the smell of success. I think an excellent spin-off would be an animated series featuring all the well-loved, recurring characters; I would definitely go find them for that, forget about it!

This is possibly the greatest thing you have never heard of, the secret Hollywood insider info that is slowly revealed is nothing short of earth shattering, I will never look at Duchovny in the same light, binge listening to this as soon as you can, then start at the beginning to listen for the secret codes hidden within. Spooky stuff too.

Loving the Erkan Mustafa stuff - I’d give it 6 stars if I could

It’s about time someone had the bravery to pull the paranormal into the contemporary current affairs space. Too long have the mysteries of the paranormal been sidelined away from their natural bedfellow of little-known and what some would say are dated references to oft-forgotten 80’s TV series. Too long have podcasts been in the pocket of corporate shills and ‘Big’ tech advertisers, trying to cover up the mysteries of our world. The hosts/heavy weight journalists are basically Pulitzer Prize certs. A Woodward and Bernstein for the TikTok generation. Safe as AF.

Mercurial

The Alvaro Recoba of podcasts. It has a wand of a left foot but it can be lazy or disappear for periods of time, which really only adds to it’s appeal. Don’t expect it to press high or track back. But when it steps up for a set price, or starts a dribble with the ball seemingly glued to its feet - you can expect magic. Thanks lads.
